Why Am I Here

Answer: Why Do I Exist

There is not a person who has lived that did not ask the question “ why am I here “. Knowing the answer is not as complicated as one believes. The problem is accepting the answer to why do I exist for it contradicts popular beliefs and ideas that are put forward by the brightest minds today.

To find this answer you must first know who authored you and if creation is real. Are you really an accident of nature evolving across time randomly without meaning like a mere animal? The oddity with our modern culture is that they cling to ideas born from men who’s ultimate goal was to segregate men by race and creed using evolutionary thought as its basis. That is what the concept was born from.

If you are not a mere animal that can be caged or put away then who are you? The problem is we have come to think of religion as a fairy tale rather than an account of history. We have come to see it as something that traps us rather than setting us free. After all, the most intelligent minds of the world have all the answers but truly have no real answers to the hard questions.

Meet Your Author And Designer

If one turns to Genesis you see this word God and it states that He created. Who is this God? We need a name not a generic label. To know who we are we must know why this God specifically authored our life and why we are here. There are may ways to account for who this God is. I will give you one account which sets the beginning into stone telling you specifically who designed you.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John Chapter 1

The Word is a person. He has been also called The Living Word. He once looked at a woman at a well and told her that if she were to drink from the water He has that she would have eternal life. This person was at the beginning of everything before the foundations of the universe. He was with God, and He is God. All things are made by Him, including you. This persons name is Jesus Christ. He created all that is.

How much does He know about you really? You look around but do not see Him. You can cry out but it seems like He cannot hear you. So what does He really know? Psalm 139 details that he formed each part of you, who you are in person and personality, looks, abilities and gifts, before you were ever conceived. The irony is you can choose to believe that you are a mere animal and freak of natural selection, or you were custom designed for a specific purpose.

One path offers nothing. The other path begins to answer real questions. They are hard questions that must be answered by someone, but only the author of life can give this answer. Any other answer is from a mere spectator that was never at the point of origin. At worst the answers we find today are by men who only seek to manipulate us into cattle to be herded for their control. Freedom is not a collective idea but rather a personal identity.

How Important Are You?

To see how important you are first one must know the beginning before this world had its beginning. Isaiah 14:12-14 tells of how an angel desired to set his throne above the stars of God. With all that belonged to Christ he laid claim to it stealing it from Jesus. He was only partially successful, and only for a short time.

This angel was the most beautiful and powerful angel to have ever been created. As he witnessed the creation of the universe take place he was jealous and coveted it. His desire to be God was deep and dark within his heart. What he saw next dumbfounded him and sparked a hatred unlike anything he had previously known.

He witnessed Jesus form out of the dust of the ground a new creation called man and woman that were created in the image of God. The very image which this angel sought to mimic. The angel looked on this weak creation which was nothing but a body of dust but given something no other creation had, a soul. Here his plans of conspiracy began.

He would steal away this image of God and the world with it. How would he do this? By Adam and Eve sinning against God they would automatically be separated from God for it is impossible for Him who is Holy to be tainted by what has become unholy. With this would come the consequence of sin, this consequence is death.

This death is more than the mere mortal body being dead. Rather it is also the death of the soul in a permanent separation for eternity after. You were stolen away. Mankind was conned into believing a lie. The unfortunate part is too many still believe this lie. Yet there is something about you that is important enough to cause the most powerful angel to exist to hate you and desire to destroy you. Why?

A Love Story

The truth is Jesus did not make a mistake. Rather in Genesis 3:15 He tells for the first time His real intentions and plan. He knew mankind would fall. He knew before He ever created the first star that we would fail. He knew each of your failures before you were ever thought of or born.

To Him it did not matter. Already His choice was made. In spite of every failure that you would make within your life He still created the heavens and the Earth. In spite of how bad you may see yourself or hate life He still spoke let there be light. It was because He knows how powerful He is in spite of how weak we are.

He predetermined from the beginning that we would be saved from this death. Yet there was only one way. Someone would need to die for us. It just could not be anyone. It had to be someone who was absolutely perfect. Someone who the laws of the universe could not condemn. This sacrifice needed to be our replacement taking our punishment in order to set us free.

The only one who met this demand for a blood sacrifice facing death was our very author Jesus. As He formed Adam from the dust He knew the nails would be driven through His hands. As He breathed life into Adams nostrils He knew that He would hang bloody and bare on a cross to suffocate and die. How important are you? God Himself died for you.

He did not sacrifice Himself for angels. He made no promises to any other creation nor animal. His promise was for you. It was for your life. The day He died he took on all sin past, present, and future on Himself to the point where the Father turned His eyes away from Him.

Keys Of Death

At the moment mankind fell and were separated from Christ this angel stole something. Not only did he steal us but he also took the keys of hell and death. In that moment we belonged to this angel, the greatest theft of history. It would not last for long.

The moment Christ died something happened. His sacrifice provided a way. Yet what is more is that it does not end there. Three days later Christ rose from the dead, but He had something which He took back that was stolen.

In Revelation 1:18 He states that He is one who is alive and has the keys of hell and death. Not only did He provide a way to salvation but He also conquered death. This He did for you. But why?

A Choice And Meaning

Within this present world we have a choice. You need to realize that our separation from God no longer depends on being good or bad. We are all bad. Rather our separation from God is a choice we make to remain separated from Him. We have a choice to accept His gift, He will not force us to receive it.

It is a story of love. If someone loves you and were to ask to be with you for life they cannot force you to say yes and accept that love. It is a choice that you must say yes or no to. No matter how much this person may love you if you reject them then you are not with them by your choice. Our life with Christ is the same. It is our choice.

To say yes means something. John 15:19 states that we are not of this world if we choose Him and because of this the world hates us. Revelation 1:6 states that we are priests and kings to God and rule with Him forever. There is a new world coming. This world is the inheritance of Christ and in turn He has chosen to give us a share in this inheritance.

Your meaning and definition reaches beyond this world into something that we at this present time cannot fully comprehend. The gifts and talents you possess now are not by chance. They play a role in who you will become. The things we suffer in this life now shape us for a purpose beyond this world for a role that we will later play we cannot yet see.

Each step is to bring us closer to Him. This is why Paul stated that to live is Christ, but to die is gain. As we live it is for Christ and to share the love that He holds for us. Yet at the moment He chooses to bring us home we have only everything to gain. It is His love for us that keeps us pressing forward in this present world to fulfill what He has designed us to be and to do.

Why Are You Here?

First you are here to make a choice. One must accept the worlds explanation of things like those who claim Christians are flat earthers or that of Christ. This choice is only yours to make and no others. Whether you choose life or death is a decision only you can make. Are you the animal that the lie would have you believe or are you a priest and king?

Secondly once you have chosen Christ then you persist to share His love with others. You become a light in the darkness. You are then a beacon of hope in a dark night. Many are lost in this darkness and they will hate you because they have no way of understanding it. Others simply will never accept no matter how bright the light is for they love darkness instead of the light.

The question becomes twofold. First what will you choose? Then secondly who will you choose to become? Our design is not by accident. There was no collision of chance in cosmic forces which spat you out with monkeys and dogs. You are no animal to be controlled or herded into some pack by race, gender, or social status. Your classification is beyond this world as a priest and king in waiting.

Revelation: The End

Just as our story had a beginning within this world so will the story of this world end. The beginning held an intended design with a plan built out of love and hope. Once love and hope was fulfilled through Christ we then look to this worlds end.

Its end will bring in a new world, in fact a new heaven and a new Earth. Anyone who is not with Christ cannot survive into this new world. It is not possible. It is a world where no imperfection will exist. Those who believe will be within this new world because of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. It is only because of Him that we will inherent what will come.
